Stories from former members of Bqool, the Amazon repricing tool. Why are Amazon sellers cancelling? Read their testimonials.
What follows are multiple stories from former subscribers to Bqool, the Amazon repricing tool. They are unsolicited, and landed in my inbox organically.
They tell the story of sellers are tired of watching “retro” repricers erode their profits through accelerated price dropping.
What is Bqool?
Bqool is probably the most popular automated repricing tool for Amazon sellers (it might be tied with RepriceIt). Thousands of sellers have been letting Bqool reprice their inventory for many years, and it’s a veteran in the Amazon repricing software space.
Is Bqool a bad repricer?
Believe it or not, I don’t think Bqool is a terrible tool. It does a good job within the constraints it is forced to work with. Namely, the blindspots of Amazon’s API.
It’s not that sellers are leaving Bqool because it’s “bad,” it’s that a lot of sellers are waking up to the understanding that legacy tools are outdated. They force prices down, have too many blindspots, and hide behind buzzwords when they all basically work the same.
These testimonials that follow are from sellers who quit Bqool for NeuroPrice, but it’s not about one tool versus another. It’s about many sellers getting fed up with price tanking and sacrificing profits in the name of “automation.”
What are the main reasons people cancel Bqool for NeuroPrice?
Far and away the top reason you hear for people abandoning Bqool is price tanking. Bqool isn’t the only culprit, but legacy repricers take prices and run them into the ground (because that’s all they can do).
Let’s take a hypothetical seller we’ll call Joe Bookseller. He works hard for his inventory. He drives all over the state, burning long hours for books to sell. He spends most of his profits on new inventory. He is very invested.
After all the labor required to obtain his books, he ships them to Amazon for what he expects will be a healthy profit. Then he watches his repricer, day after day, drop his prices. That inventory he worked so hard for has the profit slowly bled out.
That’s the norm for your modern legacy repricer.
How bad is the price tanking issue?
It’s very bad.
More on that in a second, but to illustrate – I found an X account that is dedicated entirely to being a voice for sellers who feel Bqool wrecked their profits and unnecessarily dropped their prices. Literally an entire anti-Bqool account.

This account is hilarious. Check out some of these Tweets:

And I can’t vouch for the accuracy of this, but this is worth reading:

Why does price tanking happen?
It’s very simple: Repricers don’t have any other choice.
Repricing tools use Amazon’s API (or most of them do), which forces them to play by Amazon’s rules. And one of those rules is that repricing tools can only be used to compare a seller’s price to three prices:
- Lowest overall price.
- Lowest FBA price.
- Buy Box price.
That’s it.
And what’s worse, it can’t even compare to the lowest FBA price very well. If that lowest FBA price isn’t in the lowest 20 overall offers, then the repricer can’t see it. This results in even more problems.
Sure, you could tell your repricer “Price x$ higher than the lowest price.” That would raise prices, wouldn’t it? Yes, but not in any useful way. Because how can you know much to raise your price, if your repricer can’t see what the 2nd lowest competing price is? Raise your price $1 above the lowest price might put you 10th in line, where you’ll never get a sale.
The whole way legacy repricers work is a disaster. And that’s why so many people are dropping them from NeuroPrice (the only repricer that can raise your prices in any meaningful way).

Options every repricer should offer (taken from NeuroPrice)
Let’s see what former Bqool subscribers have to say.
Bqool Testimonial #1: “Neuroprice is 100% better…”

“I just want to say Thank you. Coming from BQOOL to NP is 100% better all the way around.”
-Robert Thomas, Amazon seller
Bqool Testimonial #2: “(NeuroPrice is) leagues better”

“I was Skeptical at first but i decided to try your trial for NeuroPrice and you have made me a believer, I was using Bqool before Neuroprice and Your Reprice works so many wonders. I don’t know the Voodoo behind it but it’s leagues better than Bqool. Also Bqool was super expensive and was quickly losing it’s value because i wasn’t winning anything.
One Day with NeuroPrice and I was seeing Results Quicker than Bqool could ever make me. Thank you so much Peter Valley because of you and Neuroprice I feel i can actually be successful in this field. I Sell Used Books and do a bit of Retail Arbitrage and was losing hope because i wasn’t seeing results and quickly losing money due to lack of sales and subscription costs. Neurolab (sp) has made me believe i have a chance and that’s all i could ask for.”
-Seifer, Amazon seller
Bqool Testimonial #3: “Using Bqool but cancelled…”

“Just wanna say I’ve been using the trial and my sales have really taken off. I had used BQOOL then cancelled and had been using no repricer for a few months. Sales really slacked. Neuroprice seems to have kicked new life into my inventory.”
-Sean O, Amazon seller
Bqool Testimonial #4: “I turned (Bqool) off after two days”

“I recently attempted a free trial of Bqool. I just wanted to do my due diligence. I did not like it at all. Although my sales increased, I felt like overall it was a definite race to the bottom even though I tried to choose a very conservative, profit maximizing model to run. I turned it off after 2 days. I used NeuroPrice to bring my prices back up.”
-Barbie C, Amazon seller
Bqool Testimonial #5: “Never had Bqool AI do this well”

“Just to show how well this software (NeuroPrice) works. The 7.03 was the list price. I never had Bqool AI do this well.”
-Joe S, Amazon seller
Note: Some context here – Joe had a book he listed for $7. NeuroPrice raised the price to $26, and got him an extra $19 (appox) from the book. And that’s just one book.
Bqool Testimonial #6: Neuroprice increased profits 11% vs Bqool

“I’ve been selling books for 8 months and needed to find a good repricer.
I tried the 14 day trial with BQool. It took me 2 days to get it set up so I had 12 days of the trial which used their $100 a month program.
Then I found NeuroPrice. I followed Romer’s podcast and was able to set NeuroPrice up in minutes. I run it each morning and am very pleased with the results.
Comparing my sales from the 2 programs for the 12 active days I found that there were more sales with BQool but I earned 11% more with NeuroPrice.
NeuroPrice has proven to be a great value for me.”
Suz, Amazon seller
Amazon sellers have spoken
Legacy repricing tools are doing things the “old fashioned way,” as sellers jump ship for tools that can give them maximum flexibility.
People are sick of price tanking, and a rebellion is underway…
