Quick tip on buying Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) labels for a steep discount
I have to post this to help out everyone who was making the same mistake I did for so long: paying way more for FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) labels than I should.
If you were like me, you went down to Staples once a week and paid an outrageous amount for labels. Now I know better.
Why you should buy your FBA labels on eBay
It’s pretty dumb it took me so long to figure this out, but you can pick up rolls of labels for massive discounts on eBay.
Here’s a current listing for Dymo 30252 labels: $18 for over 1700 labels.
There’s no downside to buying generic FBA labels
Don’t buy the Dymo brand. Labels are a commodity, and there’s almost no downside to buying cheap, knockoff-brand FBA labels.
Some Amazon sellers will say customers will be upset if you use labels that can’t be peeled off easily. I’ve sold many thousands of books, and never had a complaint.
Buy labels in bulk
If you buy on eBay, the cost of Fulfillment By Amazon labels drops dramatically when you buy in large quantities. I used to buy two or three rolls at at a time, until I checked the numbers on buying 10 or more rolls at a time.
Sellers come and go all the time, but over the last year I’ve found this one to be offering the best deal on labels. When buying 3,500 labels at a time, it works out to about one half of one cent per label.
