My guest post about sales rank on “FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) Step by Step”

By Peter Valley 1 Comment

Cynthia Stine does a fantastic website on Fulfillment by Amazon called FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) Step By Step that succeeds where this one fails: Providing in-depth, long-form content that really gets deep into a subject. For a great example of her content, read this recent post on how to work a library book sale. I’m so restless I could never write an article this long (and this good).

So I was very happy when Cynthia asked me to write a guest post expanding on the Amazon Autopilot chapter on Amazon sales rank. When I got started, I think the subjects of sales rank and sourcing were the two biggest mysteries for me. If it’s possible to say this humbly, this is the article I wish I had access to when I was learning Amazon.

I also include the charts I made for Amazon Autopilot, in which I break down the sales ranks that make up the top 1%, 5%, and 15% in each category. These are some very useful documents, which I hope people will print out and keep with them when they’re out sourcing. They will help you know when to buy, and when to pass.

Here it is: my guest post: “Cracking the Code on Amazon Sales Rank“.

PS: Check out Cynthia’s great book: “Make Thousands on Amazon in 10 Hours a Week.”

Thanks for the chart. I’ve been using FBAscan and its average sales rank feature I feel like that is more accurate as a sales indicator than sales rank alone.
